What is Oxalic acid ?

Oxalic acid is the simplest dicarboxylic acid, also known as oxalic acid. It is colorless and transparent crystal at room temperature.
It usually contains two molecules of crystal water. When heated to 100.1 ºC, it loses crystal water and becomes anhydrous oxalic acid.
It is hygroscopic, easily soluble in ethanol, water and slightly soluble in ether.

 

1. Seal and store in a dry and cool place. Strictly moistureproof, waterproof and sunscreen. The storage temperature should not

exceed 40 ºC.

2. Keep away from oxides and alkaline substances. Packing with polypropylene woven bags lined with plastic bags.

Application:

Oxalic acid can be used as reducing agent, bleach, dye aid, regulator, additive, etc.
1. Oxalic acid is mainly used in the production
of antibiotics  and other drugs, as well as the extraction of rare metal solvents, dye reducing agents, tanning agents, etc.
2. It is mainly used as reducing agent and bleach, mordant in printing and dyeing industry, and is also used to extract rare metals
and synthesize various oxalates, oxalates and oxalamide.
3. Used as acidity regulator for synthesis of urea-formaldehyde resin, melamine formaldehyde resin and other adhesives. It is also
used as metal washing treatment agent, tanning agent, chelating agent, catalyst, anaerobic adhesive and polymerization inhibitor
of acrylate fast setting adhesive, machining rust remover, electroplating complexing agent, wood bleaching, marble cleaning and
oil refining.
4. It can be used as an additive for shampoo in cosmetics, mainly used in the manufacture of chemical industry products;
The pharmaceutical industry uses it to make drugs such as antibiotics; Printing and dyeing industry, leather industry is widely used.
